Development & Rising Stars Programs

Skills-Based Training | Practice-Only | Not Teams | No Tryout Required

For families primarily interested in training and development rather than team placement, we offer our Development and Rising Stars programs. These are practice-only programs designed to build skills, confidence, and strong hockey fundamentals in a structured, positive environment.

Season Length: 6 weeks
Start Week: Week of March 30
Practices: 1 skills-based practice per week
Location: Rhinelander Ice Arena (all sessions)

Age Groups, Schedule & Cost

Age groups listed below reflect the level players will compete at for the 2026–2027 season.

Rising Stars - U6 Coed (Birth Years: 2021 & 2020)

Monday 5:00 – 5:45 PM
Requirement: Minimum 1 year of skating experience
Cost: $65 (jersey NOT included)

U8 Coed (Birth Years: 2019 & 2018)

Monday 5:45-6:45 PM
Cost: $110 (jersey included)

U8 Girls (Birth Years: 2017u)

Monday 5:45-6:45 PM
Cost: $110 (jersey included)

Squirt Coed (Birth Years: 2017 & 2016)

Tuesday 5:30-6:45 PM
Cost: $135 (jersey included)

Peewee Coed (Birth Years: 2015 & 2014)

Tuesday 7:00- 8:30 PM
Cost: $150 (jersey included)

Bantam / High School Boys (Birth Years: 2013, 2012, 2011)

Monday 7:00-8:30 PM
Cost: $150 (jersey included)

Important Development Credit Policy

Players may register in advance for Development to hold their spot.

If a player later makes a Knights Black or Knights Green team (including Lady Knights), the full Development/Rising Stars registration fee may be credited toward team fees.

Additional Notes

Spots are limited by ice availability and staffing. Waitlists will be created once sessions are full.

Full refund available for cancellations made prior to March 1st

Cancellations after March 1st are non-refundable due to ice, staffing, and jersey commitments
